Okay guys.. I’ve never done this before. Please bear with me.
This is our family dog, Arnold! As you can probably tell, he is a pit-mix. While he has had a few health issues over the past few years, we have struggled through it with him - from tumors, to hernias, to arthritis, and then some - but today things really went from bad to worse. Arnie is suffering from paralysis of the larynx, and it’s going to require some emergency surgery, the price-tag of which is between $5,000 and $6,000.
We don’t have that kind of money… but I’m willing to work for it. I love this dog. He doesn’t even live with me, but let me reiterate, I love this dog. Our whole family LOVES this dog. He’s on the older side - or, well, WE THINK, due to the fact he was adopted out of a rescue program, we aren’t 100% sure how old he is, although those cataracts of his are tellin’ a tale - but he has a few good years left in him, and I’m not going to give them up without a fight.
We have to make the decision by TOMORROW, May 11th, if we are going to be able to pay for this. Apparently a payment plan is negotiable, but this is still a LOT of money as far as our family funds go. We are riddled with health issues on the human side of things, too, so our usual buffer for pet bills just isn’t gonna cut a few thousand bucks.
I have set up a little crowd-funding thing here, as the elegantly titled Save Arnie-Ru! There are more specifics to read about if you want to click it and check it out. If you show me a screen-cap of your receipt page, you can e-mail it to me, message me, whatever you prefer, I will draw you somethin’. It’s just that easy. Donate a buck? GET A SKETCH. Donate more? I mean, hey, it’s negotiable. I’ll see what I can do! And I will do my best. I will take requests! Let me know when you send me your receipt if you had something in mind and I’ll try to be flexible. I am also putting up a DONATION BUTTON on the front of my blog, which I have never done, before. If you want to send me a note through that saying what you would like, I can e-mail you the picture through whatever is listed on your PayPal.
I think that’s about it, although I am sure I am forgetting something. I feel pretty scrambled. This is a tough thing to do, in very little time - especially when you haven’t had to do it, before! REBLOGS ARE VERY APPRECIATED, thank you so much in advance for your consideration!
Amy is a super awesome person who needs super awesome support right now, guys! Please help anyway you can!
All right! I have plans to have a comic book written, drawn, and printed by next year’s C2E2, but I’m going to need everyone’s help to make this a reality. Earlier today I mentioned I have permission to do some commissions! I want to take some time out of my busy schedule to do enough work to earn a Cintiq that I can use for home. That’s where you guys come in! I plan on keeping commissions open until I reach a goal of $2,500 (enough for a Cintiq 22hd including shipping). With that I will create a comic based on my character Grant Alan and his many adventures!
Is everyone on board with that? Cool! MORE INFO BELOW THE CUT!
Please send me your requests via a Tumblr message. I will provide my e-mail address, and info to send payment via Paypal.
Anything further (additional characters, backgrounds depending on my schedule) can be discussed, and priced via e-mail.
Now here are some guidelines:
-All of the art will be digital. What that means is you receive a high resolution, 11” x 17” @300 dpi .png of your commission sent directly to your e-mail! This way you can save on shipping costs, and you’ll receive what you’ve ordered a lot faster.
-All transactions must be made through Paypal. It’s clean, fast, and no checks need to be cleared. Thanks, technology!
-Work will begin once payment has been sent. I’ve been stiffed on payments in the past, and I’d like to keep everything honest.
-I reserve the right to decline work for any reason. I am willing to draw your OC, but not if it has anything to do with the following: Fetishes, pornography, graphic nudity, or, well…you get the picture. The same goes for any other sort of character. I’m not about to draw Sherlock putting it deep into Watson if you know what I mean. Cool? Cool.
-If you DO want me to draw an OC, or a character I’m not familiar with please provide ample reference. I want to get everything as accurate as possible!
-All completed work will show up in your e-mail inbox within a week of when work is started. I’m a pretty fast, but I’m no machine.
-No caricatures please. I’m just not that good at them.
-You are allowed only 1-2 revisions after work has been completed. Trust me; too many revisions can hurt the art. That and I don’t have the time to adjust things for the sake of adjustment.
-No refunds please unless there are special circumstances. I’m providing a service that is taking up my free time, and I will guarantee that you get your art.
One more for tonight. These people are making comics and I wanna read ‘em
Hey guys! I’m opening up commissions as a way to raise some funds towards the creation of the webcomic! We’re trying to pay for a new Yiynova and to get another regular tablet, so I can stop using this loaner. I’m also looking to start making merch for cons next season (hopefully)! So, I decided to open up for some commissions. Here’s what I got to offer:

Traditional Commissions (bottom image)- 2 slots | $125 each 8.5x11 drawing, inked, colored in marker and colored pencil Includes shipping to the continental US, International add $5 for shipping
If you’re interested, please send me an email at email@example.com! Include which type of commission you want and any character references/information. First come, first served!
If you’re not interested in any of the commissions, but would still like to support the comic, we’re accepting donations to our paypal account: firstname.lastname@example.org Any amount would be immensly appreciated! Or you can reblog this and help spread the word! Thanks!!!
